Brandon Ritchie

I am a data professional and student attending school at Brigham Young University - Idaho. My beautiful wife and I were recently married in August 2021 and we are both finishing up school. I grew up in a large family of seven kids in Lubbock Texas. From a young age, I have learned that there is value in hard work. I spent several summers as a kid working with my grandparents on their farm in East Idaho. As I learned from my grandparents, there is no substitute for hard work in getting the job done, however smart work will be more efficient at producing the same results than the alternative. By collecting, processing, analyzing, and visualizing data we can draw knowledge from previous work and trends and make smart calculated decisions. As I will outline in my projects, I have experience creating automated data analysis reports and apps in R and Python. These projects provided both valuable insights for university administrators, and they have and will save my employers hundreds of man hours compared to previous methods. I look forward to future opportunities to bring my skills to the data science space.
